I also use a JJC Lens Cap for my LX3 but haven't noticed any vignetting even at full zoom. Could it be that later production models (got my JJC a couple of weeks ago) have already solved this problem?

Is this exactly same as the Ricoh version, or is it a solution to the vignetting - as far as Im aware, the Rico version has to be forced onto the lens (but it fits fine after forcing a little and is safe to do so).

But you have to stick something inside the lens cap on each flap to avoid the full tele vignetting.

I cant see the point of this cap if it still causes the vignetting!
