Here is a LX3 case idea. The SAMSONITE SAMOA DF 20. This case is very close to the LX3's size, so it is a very, very tight case. But with the right move your LX3 will fit inside the case with the LX3 stap. An extra front pocket is usefull to store memory cards and 2 batteries for example or o1 memory card + the charger (but without the cord) and 1 battery attached. The case has a belt starp as well as a shoulderstrap. Build quality is ok. Zipper quality is good .

I still haven't found anything that comes close to the genuine Panasonic case, and I've tried several. This one has the fatal flaw of requiring you to remove the camera before you can take a photo.
Just spend the hundred bucks already; you'll be glad you did.
