LX3 - HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010

Thank you for your support and interest in the LX3 photography blog.
In 2009 the blog has counted over 1.000.000 page views and over 550.000 unique visitors! Today, it is still attracting over 12.000 unique visitors per week.

Note: stats by statcounter.com

Of course after more than 1 year of publishing, it is harder to find fish-fresh news on the LX3, most of the aspects have been covered in the blog and if you look in older posts you'll probably find the answers to your questions. But I will try to come up with something interesting for you. So keep an eye on the blog. In the mean time, enjoy every moment with your friends and family, keep on shooting and sharing your passion with the world.

The LX3 blog supports the unicef Haiti action by publishing the top right banner that will redirect you to the unicef website if you feel like making a donation.

It's a great site (for a great camera), and deserves a successful 2010.

I wonder whether, as a community of LX3 users, we could use the site to encourage Panasonic to continue to develop the camera with new firmware releases?

For instance, I would just love it if my LX3 had a built-in intervalometer, so I could take time-lapse sequences. Judging from the number of clever hardware inventions I've seen on the site, I'm not alone.

It seems to me that this could be done more neatly with a software / firmware upgrade than by bolting parts of a model aircraft to the camera.

Wouldn't it be great for all LX3 users (and for Panasonic) if this blog provided some guidance on how to develop the firmware of this fantastic little camera?
