3 to 5 weeks? I recall seeing this on several sites claiming to have the lx3 in stock. Did you actually receive an LX3 from dell or just place an order? I find it hard to believe everyone in the US is sold out but dell has them and will mail it to you in a month? Sounds fishy.

Just to update this note (as I'm sure some folks have tried to follow this)...I ordered it from Dell 6/4/09, and they assured me multiple times that I would have it by July 2nd.

I just received an email saying the ship date has been pushed back to August 11th. By then, I will no longer need the camera (assuming it ever shows up).

So skip this Dell mess. They don't have the LX3 and won't for a long time. I am at a loss where to get the LX3 now, after searching for hours online and in stores. Good luck, all!

I wonder if anyone has received this camera from Dell.

After reading all these comments, I went ahead and cancelled my order.

I do not believe they have this camera, despite advertsing it on their site.

My order got bounced to near the end of August, then Dell updated (without notice) that I'm in the middle of August. I pretty much expect another delay. I've never ordered anything from Dell that didn't get delayed several times even if it has their "Dell" name on it. Is the LX3 end of life? Where are they actually made now?

Ordered mine in June, just got it today on Aug 28, woohoo! (Missed two bithday parties, but hey I still got it.)

Dell let me know of the delays and I kept the order open each time.
Thanks to Dell for the order communication and great pricing!!!

The matte silver has a great look and is a super finish.
