I just noticed a price drop at amazon.com. A 399$ deal is pretty nice.

LX3 - GADGET OF THE YEAR 2008

The iPhone is still the best gadgets of 2008, with the potential of the app store and the upcoming applications it is just amazing useful tool but also a fantastic gadget.

The Nintendo Wii Fit, is such a fun device, it is really something original in the game world, I cannot wait so see future applications. Again it is part of something where the limitations of a product are not set when it comes out of the factory.

Then the really nice Panasonic Lumix LX3 with it’s fast F2 lens, 16/9 format, 720p video, 24mm wide angle and the fantastic black and white dynamic mode make it for me the camera of the year, it is also so much fun to take photographs with.
It really went 1 step beyond the usual limitations of the compact camera category.

of the gigantic Christmas tree inside the famous Parisian "Galeries Lafayette" department store.

For those who want the technology of the LX3 but with an ultimate prestige touch you can consider the LEICA D-LUX 4. It's case is made out Titanium. It is coming out in January, in limited edition and will be sold at around 900 euros.
